Wow, I can't believe it's been over a month since I last posted. I'm trying to think of what's happened in the last month...my position as executive assistant has normalized, I've gotten some kudos about the 'depth and breadth' of my minute-taking, and the transition in nearly all aspects is going very well...and I've learned a lot, which is also nice...HR also seems to have transitioned well.

Things with Steve continue to be great. We're scheduled to go on a Gray Whale watch for the first weekend in April (my Christmas present to him). I'm really excited about that, it will be my first Gray Whale watch and his first whale watch ever. We have back-burner plans to get down to Monterey one of these days to see the Aquarium and generally check out the area, which I've yet to visit. (I'm also still dying to see the hippo exhibit in San Diego some day.) I also went with Steve to his cousin's son's baptism on Sunday -- his extended family is very pleasant and friendly and his grandmother, Martha, is a total riot -- Steve wasted no time in pointing out that we were both Phi Beta Kappas and the intellectual interrogation proceeded smoothly from there.

In my free time I've been finishing up my volunteering; the last volleyball session was this past Saturday, a celebration at which my home-made cookies were a huge success...it was gratifying to bake again after so long and with such praise when I did. I made chocolate chip cookies, 'melt in your mouth' sugar cookies with icing and sprinkles, and the all-time hit, peanut butter and hershey kiss cookies. I've also been reading Margaret George's historical "auto"biography on Cleopatra, getting fat on Steve's fantastic cooking and otherwise trying to stay healthy after all the maladies of February.

Tomorrow deserves a shout-out, and not just because it's St. Patrick's Day...it's also Mom and Steve Sabatini's 3 year anniversary. I can't believe it's only been three years, they seem like they've been together forever...in a good way. (~_-)

April is also going to be a HUGE birthday month -- my Aries/Taurean friends and family include: Steve Sabatini, 2-Dad (he has a milestone birthday this year), Jules, Marian, Alexis, Sanny (if only in spirit), and Sandie. And then shortly thereafter...Dad's 80th birthday celebration on May 15th, being held out here in San Francisco, with all my siblings, half or 'full', in attendance. Though the planning is proving somewhat arduous, I can't wait!

Okay, that's everything I can think of for now...oh yeah, Spring is springing, we've had a nice long spate of high 60's low 70's weather and the flowers are popping up left and right. You have to love March in San Francisco...that whole "in like a lion" thing is almost immediately overcome by "out like a lamb."

Ta ta...
